Annual Halloween 'N Horses Set for Oct. 29
The Colby Community College equestrian team, horse production program, and ag programs are hosting the annual Halloween 'N Horses event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the college farm three miles east and one mile north of Colby.
The free, family-friendly event is open to all ages and will feature horses dressed in costumes. Children can enjoy treats and play games. No outside pets are allowed.

Boo at the Mu'
Come down to the Prairie Museum from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th for their annual "Boo at the Mu"! The Museum invites all children and their parents to come trick or treat in costume at this free family event. The Brewster Lions Club will be there handing out treats, and the Grinch himself will make a special appearance before returning to Whoville to get ready for the Christmas season.
Tuesday, October 29th! A free event hosted by the Colby Recreation Department for kids in grades K-6th (must attend with a parent or guardian). The event will include pumpkin carving, games to win prizes, a movie, and of course candy (limited supply). Costumes are highly encouraged. Pumpkins for carving will be provided on a first come first serve basis. Located at the Colby Event Center from 5:30-6:30 PM.
Downtown Trick or Treat
From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Halloween, head Downtown to Trick or Treat! Open to kids 12 and under; kids must be accompanied by an adult. Look for a flier in participating businesses' windows.
Trunk or Treat
Rawlins County PTO is hosting a Trunk or Treat event from 4:15 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31 at Rawlins County Elementary School. Set up is 3:45 p.m. Sign up by emailing

Halloween Soup Supper in McDonald
McDonald Area Development is sponsoring a Halloween soup supper Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the McDonald Legion hall. M.A.D. will be serving soup, sandwiches and dessert for a free will donation. There will be two piƱatas for the kids in attendance, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
