Colby Middle School and Colby High School invites all veterans to be honored at a Veterans Day Breakfast at the VFW located at 220 N. Lake Ave. in Colby. The breakfast will include Pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee and O.J. Saturday, November 11th from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. Veterans Day Parade at 11:00 a.m.
Veterans Day Parade (Sat., November 11th)
The Annual Veterans Day Parade in Colby will be held on starting at 11 a.m. All Veterans are encouraged to be in the Parade. Transportation will be available at the parade or personal vehicles are also welcome. Meet at Fike Park at 10:30 a.m. to begin the line-up. The parade will be from Fike Park to the Courthouse where a short program will be held. Following the program, a light lunch will be served at the VFW Hall. Join us at the Pioneer Memorial Library (375 W 4th) at noon on Wednesday, November 8th to listen to Humanities Kansas speaker, Murl Riedel talk about "A New Generation of Veterans: Stories from Iraq and Afghanistan."
