Golden Plains 
Summer Kick-off Movie Night
The Class of 2028 at Golden Plains High School is having a movie night fundraiser at the Golden Plains football field on Friday, May 16th. Supper is from 6:30 to 8:30, $5 per meal, serving hamburgers and hot dogs. There will also be concessions throughout the night. Entry fee are $5 per person or $20 per car load. Bring your own chair and blanket and enjoy Mufasa starting at 8:45 p.m. and Twisters starting at 10:45 p.m. No outside food or drink allowed.

Babysitting Class May 27th and 28th
The Thomas County Health Department and K-State Research and Extension are hosting a babysitting class in the Thomas County Office Complex Conference Room on May 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and on the 28th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Training

There's a warm week ahead of us! Today we'll kick it off with highs in the lower 80's and breezy conditions. We can expect wind gusts up to 30 mph. Those conditions stay with us in the listening area through Tuesday night. Through Wednesday, highs range in the lower 80's to almost 90- with the warmest day of the week expected tomorrow. Wednesday evening brings chances for storms and rainfall, bringing in cooler temperatures to finish out the week. Those highs are expected to range in the mid 70's. Overnight lows this week are in the upper 40's to mid 50's.
