Rummage Sale
The Town & Country Guild fall rummage begins with a preview and purchase event from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at the American Legion in Atwood. The sale follows from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, with a $5 sack sale from 1 to 2 p.m. There is a $1 admission/donation to enter. Donations will be accepted from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16 and from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at the American Legion building.
RCHS Homecoming
Rawlins County High School Homecoming football game is 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 against Stockton. Royalty will be crowned at halftime.
Fall Drag Races
Atwood Lions Club have set their annual Fall Drag Races! 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Atwood Airport. Registration is open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. $30 per car. Free admission for spectators.
The public is invited to the local Knights of Columbus Council’s breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 6. They will be serving from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church basement, 508 N. Railroad Ave. in Atwood.
National Honor Society Induction Ceremony
The 2024-25 National Honor Society induction ceremony will be held at 2:45 p.m. Wed., Oct. 16 in the Rawlins County High School gym, where Jim Begley will speak to the new inductees. The public is invited to attend.
Food Bank Hours
The Rawlins County Food Pantry is open Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. Located at the back of 5ten Main.
Rawlins County Recycling Center
Open for all your recycling needs!
Monday- Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Fried Chicken Dinner
At the Atwood Masonic Lodge the second Sunday each month! Dinner served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with take-out available. Call Dave at 785-626-6107.
NEED A RIDE?
• The Rawlins County Shuttle offers convenient transportation to anybody in Rawlins County. The shuttle travels all over Rawlins County and is free to county residents.
• 24 hour notice is greatly appreciated, but not completely necessary. Rides are given on a first come first serve basis with no special designations for priority trips such as medical or other appointments.
