Fundraiser for Ludell School Plans are underway for a Glow Crazy Fundraiser event for Ludell School from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 4 at the school.

Ol’ Depot Spring Tea The Ol’ Depot is holding its annual spring tea from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 13.

Bake Sale Atwood FFA Backers bake sale in front of Jamboree Friday, April 18, 10 a.m. to sell out. Donations welcome. Proceeds benefit Atwood FFA.

*Notice* City Council Meeting Atwood City Council has rescheduled the regular April meeting to 7 p.m. Thursday , April 24 at City Hall.

Military Show and Reenactment The Tri-State Antique Engine and Threshers Association is hosting the fourth annual military show and reenactment beginning at 10 a.m. both Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26 at the Thresher Show grounds. A community dinner is planned Friday at 6 p.m. There will be food vendors and RV parking available. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and under.

Walk-a-Thon Parkinsons Families of Northwest Kansas is hosting a walk-a thon event starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26 at the Atwood Lake. All experience levels, abilities and speeds are welcome.

Fly-In Breakfast There will be a fly-in breakfast at the Atwood Airport on Saturday, April 26.
Atwood Fly-In Pilots are invited to a full day of entertainment at the Atwood Airport beginning with breakfast at 7 a.m. Saturday, April 26 This in conjunction with Sunflower Aero’s 50th anniversary open house. The public is invited.

Atwood Rotary Luau Rotary benefit auction and dinner will be held Saturday, April 26 at the Columbian Hall. Tickets $40 for individuals or $280 for table of eight. Purchase at The Bank. Proceeds benefit 5Ten Main.

The Rawlins County Food Pantry is open Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m. Located at the back of 5ten Main.

Fried Chicken Dinner
At the Atwood Masonic Lodge the second Sunday each month! Dinner served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with take-out available. Call Dave at 785-626-6107.

NEED A RIDE?
• The Rawlins County Shuttle offers convenient transportation to anybody in Rawlins County. The shuttle travels all over Rawlins County and is free to county residents.
• 24 hour notice is greatly appreciated, but not completely necessary. Rides are given on a first come first serve basis with no special designations for priority trips such as medical or other appointments.

City Replacing Water Mains The City of Atwood has begun construction to replace water mains on Logan Street. This will be from 2nd Street to Highway 25. Following the completion of Logan they will move to South 4th Street from Pearl Street to Cedar Street.

In Bird City:
Blood Drive There will be an American Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 1 at the Cheylin High School gym in Bird City.
