Christmas Concert
Mark your calendars for December 2nd. The band Cloverton will be stopping in Atwood Kansas on their annual Cloverton Christmas tour. This Manhattan Kansas based band will be performing many classic Christian Christmas songs along with their chart topping Christian rendition of Leonard Cohens song "hallelujah". This is a free, family friendly event. It will be held December 2nd at the Atwood Kansas Methodist church! Doors open at 6:30 show starts at 7pm. There will also be free will donation soup supper held across the street at the Rawlins County Grade School starting at 5pm provided by Rawlins County High School junior class.
Please help provide Christmas presents for those Rawlins County children who may not otherwise get them this year. The Tree of Love or Angel Tree will be located in the newly remodeled Brown’s True Value throughout the Christmas season. Names of needy Rawlins County children up to age 17 can be left at Brown’s or with me or Sherie at Jamboree Foods. You can call me at 785-626-4772 or Sherie at 785-626-4177. PARENTAL CONSENT IS
A MUST. It will be required for a child’s name to be put on the tree. When leaving a name, please also leave the child’s name, age, sizes, wishes, gender, address and phone number. Please have all the names of the children to Brown’s or to me by Dec. 10 so the donors can pick up Angel names and begin shopping. The child’s name and identity will not be on the tree card – just age, gender, clothing sizes and wishes. Gifts can be brought back to Brown’s True Value or to Sherie or me at Jamboree before Dec. 19. I need plenty of time to deliver the gifts. When returning with a wrapped gift, be sure to have the angel card from the tree firmly attached by tape to the package. Donations of money will also be accepted so that we can shop for the children. I want to thank everyone for your generous help in making a brighter Christmas for Rawlins County’s children.
