Independence Day Celebrations Around the Area
McDonald and Bird City are holding their annual 3rd and 4th of July activities. On July 4, Atwood will be hosting a bike race, talent show and fireworks display at Lake Atwood.

In Atwood:
Kids Get Free Lunch Any child age 18 or younger may come to lunch provided by USD 105. Lunch will be served from 11:30 to 12:30 every Monday through Friday from Tuesday, May 27 through Friday, June 27 at the elementary school cafeteria. There are no income
requirements and there is no registration. A packaged afternoon snack will be sent home with each child who comes for lunch.

Back To School - School Supplies
Currier Drug is purchasing ALL school supplies for Atwood Students K-6 for FREE! August 4th - August 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We hope to do this every year as a way to give back to the community. Thank you for supporting your local pharmacy!

Museum Hours The Rawlins County Museum in Atwood will be open every Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. beginning May 24. Regular hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Library Hours The Atwood Public Library children’s summer reading program, “Color My World” is underway. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Food Bank Hours
The Rawlins County Food Pantry is open Thursdays from 4 to 6 p.m. Located at the back of 5ten Main.

Fried Chicken Dinner
At the Atwood Masonic Lodge the second Sunday each month! Dinner served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with take-out available. Call Dave at 785-626-6107.

NEED A RIDE?
• The Rawlins County Shuttle offers convenient transportation to anybody in Rawlins County. The shuttle travels all over Rawlins County and is free to county residents.
• 24 hour notice is greatly appreciated, but not completely necessary. Rides are given on a first come first serve basis with no special designations for priority trips such as medical or other appointments.
