Celebrate July 4th at Lake Atwood
evening blue train rides around the lake for kids, horseshoe tournament, food vendors, a patriotic salute to America, talent show and live music before a spectacular fireworks display at dark. Everything is free except the food.
Colby High Plains Lions Club is having their annual 4th of July Free hot dog and watermelon feed at the Thomas County 4-H building starting at 6:30.p.m. Bingo will follow the meal. The Colby Community Band will also play at the event. The Colby Rotary Club and Boy Scouts Troop 140 will be assisting with the event. There will be a jewelry raffle for a donation to help KU Medical Center Ophthalmology Department for the purchase of eye equipment. Bring used or old eyeglasses, hearing aids and old cell phones for recycling.
