Rural Speaker on Monday, February 12th
Colby Community College will host a presentation titled "Ruralpreneurs: Tumbleweeds and Talents in Rural Communities" at 7 p.m. in the Lon R. Frahm Agricultural Center. The Zoom video conference is open to members of the community. The speaker is Ron Wilson, Director of the Huck Boyd National Institute for Rural Development at Kansas State University. This presentation looks at the emerging role of diversity, technology, and telecommunications that have brought significant societal changes and also emphasizes the importance of service and community. CCC to hold auditions for Wizard of Oz
Auditions for the Colby Community College performance of “The Wizard of Oz” will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13 and Thursday, February 15, in the music wing of the Cultural Arts Center.
Children are welcome to audition for roles as munchkins and flying monkeys, and adults for performance roles as well as to help in other capacities. Auditions will be done as individuals arrive. No preparation
is needed. Shows are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, April 19 and 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20 in the Frahm Theatre. Questions can be directed to Randy Berls at randy.berls@colbycc.edu
