Tails and Tales: Summer Reading Program begins May 19, 2021! This is the day you can start logging minutes/titles on the Reader Zone App or on a paper log (pick up at the library). This will continue through July 31st and all prizes will need to be picked up by that date.
*Note: All grades listed are for those your child has just completed.
Preschoolers: We will have our summer bookworm. Keep track of titles read (pick up form at the library), bring them in and we will add them to our bookworm. Each 10 titles earns you a baggie of gummy worms for a sweet treat!
3rd Grade-Middle School: Read a total of 1000 minutes during the time duration. After the first 250 minutes stop in for Prize #1. After 500 minutes stop in for Prize #2, and after you complete the 1000 minute goal, stop in for Prize #3. If using the Reader Zone App, it will tell you when to come in.
Teen/Adults: Read 10 titles and then stop in for your prize. *Note: If you are a teen in middle school, you have your choice of reading the 1000 minutes or reading 10 titles.
Summer Reading Program 2021 Events and Programs
Our Kick-off Event is Tuesday, May 25th Magic Show with Dan Dan the Magic Man! at 2:00 p.m.
Fun for all ages! Featuring live animals and amazing magic! Magical Reading Safari: Tails and Tales at the Atwood Public Library.
All other programs will be Wednesdays in June at 2:00 p.m. We appreciate parental support or an older babysitter at our events.
June 2- Learn all about insects and make Insect Bookmarks to take home
June 9- Melody Bearley will speak about being a veterinarian
June 16- Learn about the tracks animals make
June 23- Buddy the Mini Horse and his friend Jacque Leitner
June 30- Learn about Animal Faces and make Animal Masks to take home
