5K Run/Walk to Benefit Play315 Playground Project
Play315 is having a 5K run and walk, Kid's 1 mile and 1/2 mile fun run on Saturday, September 6th! Kids run starts at 9:00 a.m. from the CGS Playground. Prizes for 1st place in each age group, donuts and water provided for all participants and then a dance party with Mr. Miller

Saturday, September 6th at Herndon School (616 Radnor in Herndon) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.! 25+ Vendors, Door Prizes and Lunch served by Atwood CYO. Herndon Community Museum will be open during craft fair hours.

Golf Tournament The Rawlins County Health Center annual golf tournament is Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Atwood Country Club. Registration opens at 8 a.m., shotgun start at 9 a.m. Single person entry $75, four person scramble $300. Proceeds benefit the RCHC Foundation.

Core Community Class Starting Soon

Memorial Day

Memorial Day Observances

Pastor Darin Laws from Atwood Baptist Church will give the Memorial Address during the Memorial Day service that begins at 10 a.m. Monday, May 26 at Fairview Cemetery in Atwood. The public is encouraged to attend. Veteran Beth Guth will present the poem “In Flanders Fields” written during WWI by Canadian physician Lt. Colonel John McCrae. The memorial wreath will be laid. Chris Niermeier will play “Taps.” In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the American Legion Hall.
