Weekend Storms a Possibility

Decision Weather: May 17th:
Warming temperatures continue for the listening area, with today reaching high's in the upper 80's. Next chances for thunder storms are over the weekend, starting Saturday night. Some of these storms could be severe. Temperatures are expected to stay in the 80's for the next few days until a Tuesday when precipitation chances cool the area down. Overnight low's remain in the 50's.

Area Graduations:
Cheylin High School graduation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18th at the Bird City gym.

In Atwood:
Rod Run
The Annual Early Rod Run is planned for May 17th and 18th. Fireworks at dark on Friday evening. Show and Shine downtown Saturday with drag races at the airport at 4 p.m. The awards banquet is at the Columbian Hall on Saturday evening.

Atwood Alumni Reunion Banquet will be held on Saturday, May 25th. Register to attend!

Events Around the Colby Area

In Colby:
Book Club for Teens
Options and Brewing up Words will be hosting a Book Club for Teens every other Monday starting on May 13th at 5:00 p.m., located at Brewing up Words (435 N Franklin). The other book club dates will be on May 27th, June 10th and June 24th.

Color Run Fundraiser
The Mosier Family Adoption Fundraiser will be putting on a 2 mile color run/walk and kids race at the Colby Walking Trail on Saturday, May 18th. All ages welcome, $25 per person. White T-shirt included, prizes for 1st-3rd placing. Race starts at 10:00 a.m., starting and finishing point at CHS.
