Art Walk on Friday, April 26th
This year's Spring Art Walk is hosted by the Colby Community College art department. It will be set up throughout the college campus from 5 to 8 p.m.. The show features original works by professional artists and students from CCC, Colby Public Schools, Golden Plains, Goodland, and Norton high schools. Many pieces are available for purchase. Art and activities will be in Ferguson Hall, the H.F. Davis Library, the Robert Burnett Student Union, the Cultural Arts Center gallery, and the Bedker Memorial Complex. Live music will be in most of the buildings. Additional highlights include food vendors, caricature drawings, face paintings and balloon animals. A raku firing will be performed outside the ceramics lab, and Fort Hays University professor Toby Flores will do a blacksmith demonstration in the center of the campus. There is no charge to attend.
