WPAA Upcoming Shows

Specializing in American and European contemporary folk, including Celtic, classical and original music, Acoustic Eidolon will perform for the Western Plains Arts Association, Sunday, Feb. 25 at the Goodland High School Auditorium. Acoustic Eidolon has appeared for WPAA numerous times in recent years. The program begins at 2 p.m. Mountain (3 p.m. Central). 

Admission is by WPAA season ticket or adults $20, students $10 at the door. 54th anniversary season programs are made possible through the generous support of area businesses and individuals, including a special season grant by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation.

Rural Speaker on Monday, February 12th
Colby Community College will host a presentation titled "Ruralpreneurs: Tumbleweeds and Talents in Rural Communities" at 7 p.m. in the Lon R. Frahm Agricultural Center. The Zoom video conference is open to members of the community. The speaker is Ron Wilson, Director of the Huck Boyd National Institute for Rural Development at Kansas State University. This presentation looks at the emerging role of diversity, technology, and telecommunications that have brought significant societal changes and also emphasizes the importance of service and community. CCC to hold auditions for Wizard of Oz
Auditions for the Colby Community College performance of “The Wizard of Oz” will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13 and Thursday, February 15, in the music wing of the Cultural Arts Center.
