American Legion Feed
The McDonald American Legion will have a ham and bean feed on Saturday, November 12th from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. $10.00 per person. Dessert provided by the MAD Committee. Proceeds go towards improvements to the legion in McDonald.

This Halloween
Halloween 'N Horses Oct. 27
The Colby Community College equestrian team, horse production program, and ag programs are hosting the annual Halloween 'N Horses event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, at the CCC Agricultural Center. All ages are welcome to the event that features horses dressed in costumes. Children can enjoy treats and play games. For more information, or to donate wrapped candy, contact Shanda Mattix at (785) 460-5464.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month!
Purple Light Nights
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Options Domestic & Sexual Violence Services is bringing awareness to our communities through several awareness and educational events. We invite community members to take action, prevent domestic violence, and support survivors. Options is excited to be hosting three tree lighting ceremonies this year to kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month. These tree lightings will be held across Options’ 18-county service area:
Monday, October 3rd in Hill City at East City Park at 7 pm
Tuesday, October 4th in Hays at Union Pacific Park at 7 pm
Wednesday, October 5th in Colby at Fike Park at 7 pm
Options invites the community to show their support for survivors at these ceremonies.
