A red flag warning in the far western side of the listening area today. Throughout the entire listening area - Remain aware for blowing dust, especially in eastern Colorado where the winds will be the strongest. A frost advisory is in effect for the majority of the listening area late tonight into Tuesday morning - including Colby, Atwood, Goodland, St. Francis and surrounding areas. Clear skies, light winds and near average temperatures will follow, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain chances are expected to enter the forecast later this week.

Halloween Events Around the Listening Area

In Atwood:

Spook Parade Elementary school children are dressing up Thursday Oct. 30 for their annual trip through the Atwood business district. Action begins at 2 p.m.

Free Movie! A Halloween treat is being offered to kids by Atwood Rotary. A free movie will be shown at 2 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Jayhawk Theatre. Movie goers get a free bag of popcorn too!

In Colby: 

Boo at the Mu on Saturday, October 25th

Come out to the Prairie Museum for Boo a the Mu! Starting at 1:00 p.m., families, kids andguests of all ages are invited to follow the yellow brick road to the fun-filled event. Tricks, Treats and other spooky fun are free for all who attend! All ages are welcome, costumes are encouraged but not required. The theme this year is "The Yellow Brick Road."

Potato Bar at Senior Progress Center

Friday, October 24th - The Senior Progress Center in Colby is having a potato bar from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Center. $10 per person, includes cheese sauce, sour cream, bacon, chili, butter, broccoli and dessert!

Concert at CCC on Sunday, October 26th

At 3:00 p.m. the World-Class Denver Brass and baritone artist Steven Tyler will perform an All-American Music concert at the Cultural Arts Center at Colby Community College. Admission is by Western Plains Arts season ticket or at the door.
