Curiosity Rover Event at Libraries in Atwood and Colby


On Tuesday, June 25th, discover the features of Mars using a Giant Mars Map (25 feet by 25 feet) donated by the Buzz Aldrin ShareSpace Foundation at Pioneer Memorial Library starting at 3:15 p.m. Socks are required to walk on the map. No exceptions.

Hear about the recent discoveries that the Curiosity Rover has made. There will be a talk suitable for students K-6th Grade called “The Story of Curiosity.” Then another talk right afterwards suitable for 4th Grade on up called “Mars: Thru the Eyes (And Lasers) of Curiosity.”

On Wednesday, June 26th hear about the current Mars Rover from a real Mars scientist, and ask questions at Atwood Public Library starting at 2:00 p.m. There will be a talk suitable for students K-6th Grade called “The Story of Curiosity.” Then another talk suitable for 4th Grade on up called “Mars: Thru the Eyes (And Lasers) of Curiosity.”

You will also have time to take part in space related activities. You can even have your picture taken with a full-scale model of Curiosity.
